Dance constantly redefines its boundaries – it is a living, pulsating medium where different generations of artists, diverse sensibilities, and perspectives come together. For the fourth time, Opole Dance Scene opens itself to the new and the unexpected, presenting both young artists exploring fresh forms of expression and experienced choreographers and dancers who continue to shape the contemporary dance scene, developing its language and opening new artistic spaces.

Opole Dance Stage is not just about performances. It is also a space for dialogue – through introductions to the shows and post-performance discussions, the audience will have the opportunity to learn more about the artists, their creative methods, and inspirations. It is also a chance for practical engagement in the art of dance – dance workshops invite participants to personally discover movement and its endless possibilities – from improvisation and contemporary dance to new and unconventional choreographic strategies that create room for experimentation and individual movement exploration.

One of this year’s new features will be an intensive choreographic laboratory for professional artists, led by an international dance artist. Over the course of a week, participants will engage in creative activities, exploring new choreographic strategies and movement composition. The culmination of this experience will be a showcase of their collective process, opening a space for experimentation and artistic dialogue.
