A MAN CAME TO A WOMAN

The performance was created within the framework of the ACTORS’ INITIATIVES STAGE. Among other things, the Bunkier Stage is a place for the presentation of performances whose initiators are the actresses and actors of our theatre. Following the idea of “theatre of many voices, many views”, the Actors’ Initiatives give our artists the opportunity to present their own point of view on the world together with art and to give individual expression to the works of their choice.

An intimate comedy for an acting duo.

Dina and Wiktor, the play’s protagonists, are a couple of people afflicted by life, who live with the remnants of hope to find a substitute for true love. They have similar desires and believe in the possibility of breaking the bad luck and starting a new life.

Despite a carefully orchestrated get-to-know-you meeting, the couple meet under less than ideal circumstances. He arrives too early and finds her in a dressing gown, uncombed and without make-up. Without a moment’s hesitation, she asks him out, scolding him for his lack of punctuality, his lack of manners and all his shortcomings.

Nevertheless, both of them, fascinated and infatuated by each other, declare their readiness to get along. It is hope that makes them decide to give each other a chance, even though they have to choose between a far from perfect partner and loneliness. Will their barely begun relationship survive?

Spektakl bierze udział w 28. Ogólnopolskim Konkursie na Wystawienie Polskiej Sztuki Współczesnej.

Ogólnopolski Konkurs na Wystawienie Polskiej Sztuki Współczesnej ma na celu nagradzanie najciekawszych poszukiwań repertuarowych w polskim teatrze, wspomaganie rodzimej dramaturgii w jej scenicznych realizacjach oraz popularyzację polskiego dramatu współczesnego. Konkurs organizowany jest przez Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego oraz Instytut Teatralny im. Zbigniewa Raszewskiego w Warszawie.
