Home is the perfect place to hide immoral and dark secrets. This fact is well-known to the title heroine of The Morality of Mrs. Dulska, who creates an idealised image of herself and her whole family outside her home. However, the fake and hypocritical facade hides teenage angst, which has just ripened up enough to see the light of day. Aniela Dulska will have to not only suppress it, but also hide the first damage sustained. Her close relatives certainly will not help her, as they have lost interest in their mother’s/wife’s actions a long time ago.
The performance on the stage in Opole was directed by Giovanny Castellanos – a Colombian man, whose production takes a fresh look at the text belonging to the Polish canon of dramatic literature.

The media about the performance
The performance of Castellanos proves that popular theatre may entertain the viewer in a smart way, without silly farce-like tactics, such as a wife swap or a lover hidden in the couch.
Newsweek, Michał Centkowski
In the cage of four walls and the ceiling created by Zapolska, the Dulski children did not have the strenght to break through and could not compete with the elders in the fight for their rights and dreams. On the contrary, it happened at the Kochanowski. The performance was built by young people. This is the great hope of the Opole scene and a very good prognosis for the beginning of the season.
