MICROBATICS

Date: September 22nd 2026 (Tuesday)
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Stage: Bunker Stage
Workshop Leader: Winston Reynolds
Age of Participants: no limits

Microbatics is a movement practice developed from a personal need for a more sustainable, mindful, and long-term approach to acrobatics.

It emerged from experiences with injuries, limitations, and ongoing research. It redefines acrobatics not as spectacle or a collection of isolated tricks, but as an internal, adaptable language of movement.

This practice explores how the principles of acrobatics can permeate a broader movement vocabulary of the body, supporting freedom of direction, spatial orientation, and functional expression, rather than focusing on external scenic effects.

Please note: the workshop is conducted in English.

Soft landscapes of the body

Date: September 23rd 2026 (Wednesday)
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Stage: Bunker Stage
Workshop Leader: Szymon Walawender
Age of Participants: no limits

The workshop is based on movement improvisation and on exploring softness in the body through the creation of characters, movement qualities, and work with imagination. During the sessions, we will activate different parts of the body, observe their natural movement, and search for new ways of moving in continuous flow.

Each character gives movement a different quality and energy, stimulating the senses and opening space for free expression. This is a practice of listening to the body, following movement, and finding pleasure in being in motion.

The workshop is open to everyone – anyone who feels like moving, exploring the body, and discovering joy in movement and in contact with the surrounding environment.

Behind Paysage

Date: September 25th 2026 (Friday)
Time: 10:00 – 12:00
Stage: Mała Scena
Age of Participants: no limits, workshop for intermediate-level participant

Julien Carlier’s artistic approach combines urban dance with contemporary dance, creating a hybrid choreographic language. During this workshop, the artist will share the creative process behind the performance Paysage and the methods used in its construction.

Through choreographic phrases, guided improvisation, and compositional tools, participants will explore how movement can emerge from the very idea of “traversing space.” The work focuses on the dialogue between the body, its environment, and imagination, as well as on how sensations, images, relationships, and bodily states can become choreographic material.

HARDCORE RELEASE

Date: September 27th 2026 (Sunday)
Time: 10:00 – 11:30
Stage: The Small Stage
Workshop Leader: Paweł Sakowicz
Age of Participants: 15+

A dance workshop focusing on two seemingly opposing movement practices: release technique (based on breath, gravity, and momentum) and club choreographies. Set to electronic music, we will explore what distinguishes dancing for oneself from dancing with others.

The workshop will also address the ergonomics of movement: is it possible to dance as fast as possible while preserving as much energy as possible? Is there a type of movement that turns the body into an energy-efficient machine?
