DESCRIPTION
Two sisters, one crown and an uncontrollable desire for power; the pursuit of fulfilment which, once achieved, can only turn out to be an illusion; a fleeting sense of peace. Hesitation appears– the conviction that what we have gained is far from what we imagined, or that we no longer fit the image. We have become someone unrecognisable: someone who cannot stop our values from dying. Love? Reign? Do they always have to end in betrayal?
Ignacio García, Spanish director, combines two canonical dramas of our two cultures. He puts two extremely strong women on the Opole stage: Spanish Semiramis and Polish Balladyna. Where will the spirits of Calderón and Słowacki lead them? Will they achieve the fulfilment they are fighting for so fiercely? What price will they have to pay, and will it be worth it?

THE MEDIA ABOUT THE SPECTACLE
Three actresses, in the form of expression, combine sensuality and elegance in scenes in the forest, in the kingdom, as well as in relations with male figures of performance. As they are conscious of ranges in these relationships, it is easy for them to achieve clear goals. A consistently created music layer is the next aspect making up the beautiful performance full of passion. Its beauty, appreciated by the public's applause in Almagro, could be admired from four sides of the stage. Among the spectators of the Saturday performance was Marzenna Adamczyk, the Polish Ambassador in Spain, who sincerely greeted the directors of the Festival and the Theater after the shows.

Considering Garcia's performance in aesthetic terms, it must be said that this is a classic theater dominated by psychological acting and the correct articulation of poetic phrases. In Polish contemporary theater - aunique, in Spanish - the top of fashion.
Kamila Łapicka, Teatr
The performance was created in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Madrid.
